RESEARCH EXPERIENCE
What I’ve Done
September 2021 - Present
Oregon State University, AgAID Institute
Robotic and HCI Applications in Agriculture
In collaboration with the AgAID institute, I am conducting formative studies with growers and pruners in the field as well as performing data analysis to identify pruning rules and stakeholder perspectives for robots entering the pruning workforce.
September 2022 - Present
Oregon State University, LASSIE
Explanations for Human-Robot Teaming in Planetary Geological Sciences
In collaboration with NASA, I am exploring adding explanations to a human-robot teaming sampling scenario with planetary and geological sciences.
March 2022-August 2022
Oregon State University
WaiterBot: Human vs. Robot Initiative
Examined how human vs. robot initiative impacts food taking, obligation to take food, and perceived robot attributes in a social feeding, cocktail environment setting with a WaiterBot.
June 2019 - October 2019
NASA Ames Research Center
Search Tree Pruning for Progressive Neural Architecture Search
Looked at the creation and pruning of a search tree comprised of nodes representing neural networks to satisfy classification problems.
January 2019 - May 2019
University of Alaska Anchorage
Rigorous Polynomial Approximation
Applying Remez’ Algorithm towards rigorous Machine Learning to control the percent error calculated from floating-point arithmetic.
